Yes, I guess some of you are shocked to find some classic Eurovision winners or even smash hits in there, but I'm not the one who necessarily agrees with the common public opinions.

10 Netherlands 1975 Teach-In "Ding-a-Dong"
While this one is considered as one of the worse winners, I love this one so much! Such a happy, easy to sing along song, catchy, absolutely lovely.

9 Ireland 1980 Johnny Logan "What’s Another Year"
It's a tough head-to-head race between this one and Logan's other entry 1987. While I loved Hold me now better when I was a child, I discovered the beauty of What's another year some years later.

8 Sweden 1991 Carola "Fångad av en stormvind"
Classic! What can you not love about this typical Eurovision song?

7 Austria 2014 Conchita Wurst "Rise Like a Phoenix"
Just one word: epic! Great song, great staging, great performance.

6 Italy 1990 Toto Cutugno "Insieme: 1992"
Not the ususal type of Eurovision song ... more like the songs you used to hear on the radio back then. An Italo classic, yeah, that comes to your mind when you think of Italy's music scene in general. It gives me summer-vibes and reminds me of the holidays, despite the political message!

5 Sweden 2015 Måns Zelmerlöw "Heroes"
Mainstream, I know, but a good one. This one I'm listening to quite often because that is a typical, some may say generic, fan friendly song. Plus that really cool staging...

4 Finland 2006 Lordi "Hard Rock Hallelujah"
I love metal. Nuff said.

On to my top 3

3 Serbia 2007 Marija Šerifović "Molitva"
One of the best ballads in Eurovision ever. And what a great voice she has... goosebumps!!!

2 Norway 1995 Secret Garden "Nocturne"
So so so beautiful. It's not my number one because there's too much music in it, not really "fair" in a SONG contest. But I love the atmosphere, the folklore elements, the dark staging.

And my personal Eurovision winner of all time is... (if you were attentive you may know what comes next :-))

Well. Imho, this song has everything a winner song needs: traditional music elements, catchy melody, dancing, charming performer, good voice... what else can I say?

Great top 10, I even agree on Azerbaijan 2011 which, imho, isn't by far the worst winner! It's actually quite cute.

A little exception: I'm just not too keen on 1993. I never connected to this, I always had the impression Niamh was a little too shy and lacking some "energy". But then again, slower songs were quite popular in the 90s.

I can understand what you say about Niamh. She didn't move, but the song is an earworm for me and I think she sings wonderfully!
