I hope that we will send a modern, English language song next year. We will never be in the Top5 with a Hungarian song, the jury clearly hates those, and I think it's time for us to send another "Running" (2014).

    Nope!

I think you should continue to be authentic and original, should I remind you that only ONE out of your five English language entries made it past the final top. 15 in the past eight years, wheres two out of three Hungarian language ones made it to the top.10? So with your logic, you shouldn't go with English at all!

Juries are EURO- haters, they always were, but it seems the public disagree with them. You can't base it all on the 2018 results, the entry was interesting but maybe a bit too extreme and in a genre that is too foreign for most Eurovision viewers, I mean even if televoters again liked you more than juries, it was "just" top. 15, which imo still is a respectable place for something like this in ESC. I think however that you would have faired better with "Meggyfa", both with juries and televoters.

That's because we either had terrible staging (2011, 2016) or our song just wasn't memorable enough (2012, 2015). We should just send someone like Viktor Kirly (obviously with a good song, his song this year in A Dal was weak), and see what happens.

So how come your more original Hungarian songs faired better then? I think you should continue trying out new stuff and be authentic, looking at the public support, it seems they appreciate this approach from you. However, sending hardcore rock might be a little bit too out there for many, so you shouldn't see these results as a let-down tbh.

I trust in you, Hungary! I hope Hungary keeps sending performances worthy of the final every year.

AWS' result isn't a let-down, they were our only chance to qualify this year (I think "Meggyfa" would have flopped.), and I never expected a Top10 result for them.

Our biggest issue right now is that less and less famous singers try to compete in A Dal and our national lineup is getting weaker and weaker every year. We were really lucky in the last few years, and we need to change A Dal. The most important would be to remove the terrible Hungarian jury and have an international jury instead.

O wow, but what about yesyes?

About Meggyfa, yeah if the staging was still the same as in A Dal, plus apparently the jury has something against ultra-ethnic vibes for some reason? Nevermind the rap in Origo, I heard it was hated by juries because of being "ethnic". Yeah sure

You think it will do wonders for YOU now that it usually does for Scandinavians? Just a reminder that Switzerland and Malta used them too this year and it resulted to nothing
