    Re: UNITED KINGDOM 2019

So both Robbie Williams and James Blunt are interested? I know they are both kind of "has-beens", but they are still big names (especially Robbie) and it's not like they've been "has-beens" for a very long time, they still have a chance to revive their careers I think.

But knowing BBC (they obviously don't want to win for whatever reason), we'll still get some meh entry with some complete nobody

I see the Robbie Williams news has been making waves in Eastern Europe. As much as I'm not a fan of the guy there's no denying he has a fan base and would give his all as an entertainer, so there's much worse options...

Don't know if that would be a good idea to send Robbie Williams next year. He has some good songs, but I don't like most of his songs. But I guess he would put some nice glitter upon the ESC. Don't know though if it is an advantage or not.

But eh, after everything I read about the behind the scenes stuff with the UK entry I'd be surprised if anything changed without us having a 'Salvador moment'...
You'll end with SuRie in the end!

I want Leona Lewis for Jerusalem!

Hopefully they don't send a trashy novelty song like Israel did this year.

The BBC doesn't do political songs for Eurovision, of course Israel does when it suits them as seen in 2009. I'm curious to see if they try it again next year. The last time they did their 'building bridges' song was after a bombing campaign.

Maybe wait to see if it's Jerusalem before pronouncing who will be there in May representing the UK (I want it to be SuRie again)?

    Re: UNITED KINGDOM 2019

Robbie Williams has been rumoured and interested in the past, and I'm nearly sure James Blunt has been too lol, so I'm not holding my breath. Though I would like Robbie Williams. He is not a fantastic live singer but he's got the name and the stage precence, so he would be good.

Not sure if Robbie Williams is a good choice, I can remember going to a festival a few years back and his live singing was not great, that would be my first concern.

Leona Lewis would be a definite top 10 - maybe even winner. All she needs is a Dami type song and she'll have no problems doing top 3 with the juries. That vocal range <3
