Heat of the moment, there is still plenty of time to change their mind. I mean, all they have to do is listen to their entry and then they will realize why they didn't qualify.
Just send Valentina again with a song true to her style!

It's early days yet, San Marino might wait until September or October to decide whether or not to enter ESC 2018.
Don't forget, San Marino has withdrawn before. After San Marino debuted in 2008 (and failed to reach the final), they were absent in 2009 and 2010. They returned in 2011 and have entered every year since, but have only qualified for the final once, that being in 2014.
Although it's undeniably disappointing for San Marino to have not qualified 3 years running (2015, 2016 and 2017), SMRtv need to remember that The Netherlands failed to qualify for 8 consecutive years (2005 to 2012 inclusive).

While it's always sad to see a country leave, a seagull could write a better song than Siegel at this point. Give Valentina a classy jazz number (which is what she's good at) and let her go out with style and some dignity.

This feels like the Facebook scenario all over again. They probably got her last minute to do SOTN and feel as though she should get a better song. Let her do a jazz song or something that's true to her style.
