I only adore their songs from 2012, 2014, and 2018, others were nice and ok, but not my favorites.
Most of Sweden's antries are not my favourites but i find them ok! 2012 is the best winner in recent years for sure!

That is true, without a doubt, Euphoria is awesome winner, I listen to this song still today. Same here, even when they are not my favorites, I find them quility and good, decent at least, I can't say they are trash, like many people tend to do, just because I/they don't like it.

This song is nice, but watching the performance I can say: the same procedure as every year. I would like to see something different from Sweden. 7 points.

I Can't Go On on last year didn't manage to become a hit in Europe and this one will follow the same path. The only song from Melfest this here that stands a chance to reach beyond Sweden's borders is Every Single Day just like Hold On by Nano.

I don't hate Dance You Off but I keep forgetting it's in the competition and, unlike Loreen or Måns (whom is tryng way to hard to stay relevant in a handful or countries but is not succeeding at that), Benjamin is not charting or creating a buzz outside of Sweden so I really struggle to understand how some people think this could win.

I don't think it will win, but we never know. Without LED's and anything really, even though many people think this song is more staging than song, it will be quite impressive and will stand out. Remember that Mans won based mainly on staging, even though his song was good, but I find it average radio song like this one, too, and Sergey Lazarev came first in televoting based on staging, too. Was any ESC winner charting in previous years? I don''t see Jamala charting, really. I don't think this will win, and even though I like it, I think few other songs deserve victory more, but I wouldn't be so sure to say it is without any chance actually. I don't find this year strong like many people do, I find only 10-15 songs good. And if you are forgetting that this song is even in competition, it doesn't mean people won't like it just because you don't. It is possible that it maybe won't do so well, but we can't be so sure. And I don't understand the hype behind Every Single Day, just ordinary boring, depressive ballad, heard so many times before, almost acapella style, without music, pure snoozefest, for me. I don't think it would be successful in Europe, Felix is mostly liked by his fangirls, like all that young cute boyish-look singers, also Benjamin and Mikolas are in that group. If Felix won, it would be actually the most boring ballad this year and most pathetic one, because Germany, Portugal and Lithuania have better ballads this year. People should get over that Felix already, it's been more than a month since Mellfest. People should stop being disrespectful towards Benjamin, because he is one of the rare deserved winners from Mellfest, because he won both public and jury vote, just like Mans and Loreen. Maybe his song is not the best for everyone's taste here, but his performance was outstanding and best of all others that night, and I am really boring with repeating myself over and over again, but in Eurovision and every festival, whole performance matters and counts.

You think this will stand out more than Hungary, Estonia (which I hate by the way) or Czech Republic? I'm not saying he won't get a top 10 result but winning it seems just impossible to me when there are, in my opinion, many more songs that seem to be #1 in people's top.

Benjamin won Melodifestivalen yet his song is doing worse than Felix in Sweden's charts, for he 2nd year in a row I strongly believe they didn't pick the potential Eurovision winner.

Charts is of course just one measure to try to predict the outcome but in Sweden's case this was important for Loreen and Måns victories. Now do I think it's absolutely necessary for a winner to be successful in the whole continent? No, it'll be boring if we only got Radio-Friendly winners that need to be popular outside of their home country (in this case, I Volo REALLY should have won then if you think like that).

Jamala didn't chart much in the West but how do you know she's not popular in the East? She's been very busy with a lot of musical projects in her home country. Also, just so you know, Spotify isn't available in a lot of Eastern countries including Ukraine.

Finally, Dance You Off will not win; this forum isn't feeling it, youtube's tops and reactors aren't either, his odds are worse than the 4 previous Swedish entries, the Finnish show "De Eurovisa" neither and they are usually super enthusiastic about their neigbour (we'll see how the similar programs in Norway, Iceland and Germany rank it).

Re: SWEDEN 2018 - Benjamin Ingrosso - Dance You Off

Ok, ok, you convinced me now. I also thought so, based on tops, polls, etc. But untill rehearsals and all, we are not 100 % sure what could happen. He is in the same concurrency with Czech Republic, that it is truly more popular ( I don't understand why though, they are on the same level to me). I don't think about Hungary and Estonia, they don't have appeal for huge masses, I don't think they have huge chance. Armenia's Ivetta was doing worse on poll than Benjamin and she was 7th overall, so that is not always relevant. Netta, for example, is not sure with juries, but I am sure that Sweden will be top 5 at least with juries, and Czech will do better with public, for sure, but juries, I don't think will stand behind cheap lyrics like: sit down GGY I'm on fire, and bop-whop-a-lu bop on his wood bamboo. The main point is, that this year is pretty open, at least for me, for 10 potential winners, and in that top 10, I see all entries from the top 10 in the odds (including Sweden). Estonia and FYR Macedonia were popular on the OGAE polls and here in ranking game last year, and they didn't even reach grand final, on the contrary, Moldova wasn't popular on Youtube tops (around 30th place in the most of them), polls and here also, but they came 3rd, so we are not sure yet. It could show us, but it is not 100% sure prediction. On the forum we have about 200 people judging, which is nothing compared to millions of viewers, who don't overanalyze songs like we do here. If something catch them at first impression, that is it, they vote for it instantly. And Portugal wasn't number one either on the most of the tops last year, and Ukraine in 2016, and both entries were at 5th or 6th position at the odds until rehearsals. And, yes, most likely, this won't win, but this year the top contenders are risky to get high points from both sides, as I've described, so I really don't have a clue who is safe winner and who is not. And about Felix- he is longer active in singing career than Benjamin, he have more fangirls, that is all. FO&O has two albums, and Benjamin none, only about four singles, he is active past two years only, so really nothing to compare here.

Robin Stjernberg 2013 propably had a pretty bad televote at Eurovision, we could have guessed it because he had to go through AC too.
Lets take another example. Francesco Gabbani. Such a huge chart success in Italy after winning San Remo. Literally everyone was saying he will win the televote with at least 300 points. I always had doubts because his first televote numbers in San Remo were not strong, he gained momentum over time.

I have one serious question for you: Who will win semi 2?

Oh yeah I'm also pretty sure Sweden will be top 5 with the jury as well as Australia just like last year. Televoters though I don't think so but we'll see.

But Felix is doing better than Benjamin in the charts so, according to some people, this is a much important criteria to win Eurovision? I mean it is litteraly what the Jury should be looking for (but they don't always do it thanksfully). We'll never know if Every Single Day was a better choice (I personnaly was rooting for Shuffla and believe Europe would have loved the song but no the jury).

Hungary will win the televoting, Sweden the jury. Overall I don't know, maybe Ukraine.

Felix Song is a grower while Benjamins has instant Appeal. Also I doubt that Felix Song will work outside of Sweden in the Opposite to Benjamins.
