    Re: CYPRUS 2017

    Have just listened to 2012 Cypriot entry, live performance in ESC, and I can't believe myself, it's not listenable at all, that is the worst singing in ESC EVER me thinks..HORROR!

    The worst part of the story is that it ended quite high in the final and it has more than 10 million views on YT, TRAVESTY!

    la la love is possibly my favourite cypriot entry ever and her performance was great for the kind of music la la love is ( = energy and charm mattered more than vocal technique).

    Re: CYPRUS 2017

    Infectious glittery bop of a song (one of my favorites from 2012, a banner year for ESC, not to mention that it destroys the entire Cypriot output of the 2010s), indefensibly bad live vocal. Hardly an original opinion on either count, I suppose.
    Congrats Jamala/Salvador/Netta, best consecutive winners ever

    @Alaska49 @lavieenrose

    I dislike both, live singing and song as song, plus performance and dancing were total disaster and pointless..

    I want Annet Artani to come back, her 2006 entry was PURE MAGIC and that singing it almost reminded me of gospel with these awesome backings, I still can't believe such a great singing wasn't in the final, if jury was back then I suppose they would save her and she wold sail into the final...

    Hahahha, she is not that different to Athens 2006...

    she has great English accent and fantastic vocal abilities..

    It's really a travesty she stayed in semis in Athens that year! Especially cause some rubbish went through..

    I'm not sure if that Peter Yiannaki who wrote both, lyrics and music for "Why angels cry", was from Cyprus or Greece? Who is that composer, is he famous for some other compositions and collaborations with somebody?
