Slow and steady I see myself listening to this song every single day (the only other songs in this club are Switzerland, Azerbaijan and France), and more specially since I visited Madeira a couple of weeks ago.

I'll spill some votes for Portugal in the semi for sure!! If Luxembourg had been in semi 1 instead of Netherlands, Portugal would've had a better shot for sure.

The Netherlands will vote for us, as well... I would ask for France instead of Italy. Italians are the ones who ignore us every year.

This is just beautiful. These guys deserve a chance from Europe, Deslocado is so pretty!

What a great instrumentation, made it more lively and gave it an edge. Its a shame its late for changes coz they should have used this instrumentation instead, so much better.
It annoys me when artists do alternative versions and they are better than the standard entries, like Adonxs, the acoustic version was going to be a jury favourite but no one will care for the standard one 😭

He has a point here.
I'm not sure what the point was, but from what I got he feels it's an ordinary song that needs and extraordinary oomph?

Well, yeah. That was the issue all along xD
It's a beautiful ordinary song that feels deslocated in a competitive loud setting.

He thinks they should present it as if it were a concert and I'm not too sure that would help? It's not a live band song that calls for audience interaction. Particularly when no one can singalong to it.

So I guess I failed to grasp what he was trying to convey here.

Edit: Ok, i wrote before the ending of the video. He thinks we should break the 4th wall and shoot it like a live behind the scenes documentary type performance. Well, I like it. But it still fails to get the message across. I'll just wait and see what's the approach here, I have no clue what they're going for lol

It was about the documentary thing...
About the "ordinary song", well... all of his songs for Czechia were hyper ordinary.

I wish Capital da Bulgária had those videos playing in the ledwall in the second part of the song during the nf. Focusing on the emotional aspect of the song would have helped the public connect with it and it would have helped with the messaging of the song.

This has grown on me immensely after that chordophones version, I need it to qualify 😭 😭
Maybe theres a way this qualifies and I was wrong ruling it out?? or I am just joining the club of the people that love this and are being delulu? 😭 Idk
Well, I am getting more and more pessimistic about our chances. That is not normal.

Its definitely a grower and not instant, which is not good for Eurovision where the first impression is what matters
I feel like that the performance is gonna be very pretty tho and that can help significantly. I rely hope they will defy the odds and the predictions of the fans ( mine too )

Yep I think it's a slow burner of a song. I found the melody hard to remember even after 2 listens, maybe that's just me. Its other problem is that the emigration theme which is the emotional heart of the song, may not come across in the performance

I am still optimistic that we have our chances in this semifinal. With a beautiful and great performance, I am sure Napa will have something to say on May 13th. My gut says that they are preparing something very nice to convey the message and it will be very nice. I don't know, I still think eurofans underestimate Portugal with beautiful, slow and chill songs. I don't know why, but I think we are going to the finals and Portugal will not be such a borderline. That's just my feeling, tho :ROFLMAO:

This song, along Slovenia stands out so much in this semi, like everything else is loud, I'd be surprised if this doesn't qualify, especially with the diaspora support from Switzerland and Spain.

They are preparing something nice for sure. At least they have more money to use.
Did you see we will have a video clip?! Who paid for that? Universal, right?
About the staging, the only rumour I have heard so far came from a Portuguese forum user about a prop that would be placed in the middle of the arena (?). I do not know, but that person got the running order right hours before the EBU reveal, so...

And from ROW with a lot of Madeira emigrants everywhere. They will vote for this. We can expect at least 5-7 points.
Belgium and the Netherlands too, but maybe fewer points.

Are you ready to get hate comments? Because if we qualify at the same time, some fan favorite has to stay out of the final?

Since you are Greek and the operators are the same, you may help me... Is it possible to buy a SIM card in Cyprus to vote on May 13th? I do not want to perform a Kirkorov moment, but you know... I will be in Larnaca. xxclap

You can vote through the eurovision app, unless you already have an account and its linked to Portugal and you think it wont work?
But yeah its pretty easy to buy a sim card. You will just need your id/passport ( they will get it registered under your name ) and they will probably request a local address ( like the hotel/airbnb you will be staying at ). The sim cards are pretty cheap ( 5 euros or something ). I would suggest you visiting an electronic shop for it, so they can immediately put the credit you will need on ( like 20 euros or how much you'd like ).
If you have/make some friends in the city maybe you could ask them to vote from their phone and pay the amount to them in hand ( Cypriots and Greeks are very helpful about these things ), but I think its a great idea to have your own sim card while youre being in there :)
