Claiming the protests and booings being aimed at the regime, not her as a person is a stretch. Eden has been called all the horrible, racist, misogynist slurs on social media, her Jewish features keep being insulted. Don't you all understand how serious this is? Many people seem to think anti-Israel = anti-Semitic. You can protest the Israeli government's war crimes without hating Jews. I've seen too many awful comments on Twitter that actually scared me. I feel like there is a group of people who use Palestine just an excuse to show their hatred towards Jews. There are many in Eurovision fans community.

And Israel is a Middle Eastern country whose government literally bombs hospitals. You can't just reject when they "offer" you to represent the country.
100% this. I've been horrified to see comments from regular Eurovision fans calling for Eden to be violently assaulted in various ways or for terrible things to happen to her. Not to mention the constant body-shaming and name-calling that is just everpresent. It seems to be more just vile bullying out of enjoyment rather than political criticism/statements. I don't remember any other country/artist being ever treated like this despite some very questionable political situations

They don't go there to boo the artist. They go to watch a variety of artists, that is the premise. It so happens that one of them is Israel where people have severe misgivings about the behavior of that state and more or less accidentally have an opportunity to voice their dissent.
Then they should boycott the event. Stay away simply. It’s ridiculous that you demand from artists that they don’t participate at Eurovision, and then you go to the same show yourself. The hypocrisy is overwhelming.

Has anyone tried voting as ROTW from a participating country? I didn’t want to sit through the recap video but it just let me change from United Kingdom to ROTW. Now I imagine the caveat here is if my bank card is UK registered maybe?

You don’t hate the ordinary people. You hate those who make the decisions . To attack, to kill and to make others suffer! And you know usually the history used to remember the names of those monsters, not exactly the country they came from. Times has changed, but we still call those Presidents with their names, when we point fingers. Taking part in a song contest while many people are suffering, is like laughing at those who are suffering. You suffer, we will sing! This is the message I get. And no, nothing against the people of Israel, not at all, but for me this is so so wrong on so many levels!!!

So, I'm hearing from a guy there, they're rumours they're gonna try to prevent Israel from performing by trying to storm the stage. Just putting it here, don't care about the discussion if it's the right thing to do

I've made a preview video of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 Second Semi-Final, on 9 May 2024. This includes my points of view on the 16 songs competing in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 Second Semi-Final. Please note that my points of view are based solely on the official preview videos; I haven't seen any rehearsal footage yet.

Nemesis Nick Talks Eurovision: ESC 2024 Second Semi-Final Preview

Sorry about coughing and my need to drink water at various points in the video; speaking for the required time proved to be somewhat demanding on my voice on this occasion.

And that would be the end of everything.

Bold prediction: these people in Malmo could gift Israel the win of this Eurovision

Am I being completely crazy for starting to think that both San Marino and Malta could make it?
No, not at all. The reviews of their rehearsals have been positive.
The question is, who misses out - I'm really worried for Estonia now based on the rehearsal clip.

I hope all the Ukrophobes (especialy those who wished me death or copy & pasted Russian propaganda) on this forum will feel the same like I did in 2015, when Gagarina performed her fake bs ballad about peace on Eurovision, while Russian troops were occupying my country. Europe almost made her #1 xrofl

I support only Palestinian children and elderly, and those pro-Western people who don't support Russia in this war. We feel the same xhugIsrael used unproportional force against Palestinian civilians (when things could have been treated differently) and received very predictable reaction.

She represents Israel, a state committing a massive genocide as we speak. She deserves nothing less, and is what Julia Samoylova was in 2018 or Polina Gagarina in 2015
Kinda agree and disagree. I don't recall Eden to openly call Netanyahu to kill Palestinians, what Samoylova did in 2014 when she begged putin in her socials to invade Ukraine and kill us. In addition, she crossed our border illegally.
Lazarev justified genocide/kidnappings of Ukrainian children. But Gagarina is THE worst.

Won't it stop you when you try to input British bank details?
