Sorry if there's already a topic.

----------

To me Turkey's best city is certainly Istanbul.

Highlights :
2005 Uefa Champions League Finale
2009 Uefa Cup Finale
2010 European Capital of Culture

and more...

Istanbul (Turkish: İstanbul), historically known as Byzantium and Constantinople(see the names of Istanbul for further information) is the largest city of Turkey.

Europe's most crowded city.

Istanbul was capital of Ottomans.

They are all great tbh. I love them all lol. It's too hard to pick only one. Brussels, Antwerp, Hasselt, Bruges, Ghent, LiŔge, Leuven & Namur are my fav's & the best :D.

I've been wanting to visit Istanbul for ages!! It's on my shortlist for holidays next year ;-).

For me, the best Belgian city is Brussels. It's the only "big" (1 million+) city in the country, and its multicultural make-up (immigration and European institutions) make for a vibrant and diverse social landscape you would find hard to find in any city smaller than London or Berlin. Actually, many Parisians see Brussels as a smaller version of their own capital, less beautiful but also less crowded and more welcoming.

I may be biased, because I live in Brussels, but I have found that I feel at home in any "big" city located at (cultural) crossroads of some kind. It's usually the capital, although Barcelona has that "je ne sais quoi" too.

In second place, I would put Ghent and LiŔge. I'm not a big fan of Antwerp (the smaller Belgian "big" city), I don't know why, but it might be that city rivalry some experience (like Paris/Marseilles, or Birmingham/Manchester).

I experienced that during "Fŕte de la musique", when the presenter said "Antwerp" everyone was boe-ing lol.

I like them both, they have both have that special cultural mix ^^.

In the United Kingdom, it of course has to be London! :D No matter how many times I go, I can never get bored of London, it's a place like no other!

Following London, Id most likely say Liverpool. I always have loved visiting it, and still do.

And of course, I love good old Manchester, my home city :D. And we're the second city of course, those Brummies may as well just forget all about being as important!

Well, in ::rs Belgrade is definitely best for living (it's capital and offers best choice of jobs, education, culture), and it's biggest city in country (2mil), but if I have to choose other place to live in ::rs, I'd say Subotica or VrÜac.
Here's Subotica (most northern town in country, it's multicultural place where Serbians, Hungarians, Croatians, Slovaks and others live together. They have catholic, orthodox, protestant churches, synagogue and mosque, and several languages r in official use in schools, media, administration, police..etc.
The dark side of the towns is the fact they have very high suicidal rate. But anyway, I think it's one of best towns in my country and wouldn't mind living there.

Mmm we're plenty of beautiful cities so it's really hard to pick some out of them.

But if I have to, well maybe these are some of the most beautiful:

1) Rome
2) Milan
3) Venice
4) Florence
5) Naples
6) Verona
7) Siena
8) Matera
9) Alberobello
10) Turin

Others that I like: San Remo, Lecco, Como, Erba...

Tel Aviv is our sister city but I think Haifa would more fit in :)

Definitely, one of the best things to do here is grab your beer and chat with friends sitting on the grass by the sea...

I also want to visit Israel sometime, both Haifa and Tel Aviv.

Sounds so awesome! :D
Tel Aviv is definitely the place if you want to party and not exactly if you want your quiet with friends. :D

There's something similar to this in Freiburg, although it's not at the sea. It's a public place, where mostly students sit in the summer, also some sit on the river.

I know this is probably really biased, but I think one of the best cities in Canada is its capital - Ottawa!

Ottawa is often overshadowed by other larger cities like Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal, but it offers the second quality of life for cities in North America, and is the third cleanest city in the world. Also, it is the snowiest capital in the world.

In Serbia it's Belgrade considering it's the biggest and most livable place here. I also quite liked Novi sad/Zrenjanin/Zajecar but I wouldn't consider living there.

Stockholm xlove My favourite part is S÷dermalm  Gamla Stan is way too touristy.
I love S÷dermalm, not the trendy, hipstery part of S÷dermalm, but the old, historical part of S÷dermalm. Like in the last photo with the little red houses (taken by me :D). S÷dermalm was where the poorest of the poor hard laborers used to live back in the day, in houses just like those. Most of the worker houses were demolished in the 1930s, but a few of them still remain and a couple of streets (like Lotsgatan in the picture) are virtually intact. :)

I love Gamla Stan (for the atmosphere and architecture, not the tourists hehe), and it's not so bad during the off-seasons. :)
