Emmy Zarian, last year s choreographer of giorgos alkaios for OPA, will be the choreographer of the armenian entry this year....

indeed the dancing routine our entry had last year, was a very good one so i guess she will do a pretty good job for armenia also...But ,as i dont like the song , i wonder how much the choreography will make me change my mind.....

OK I'm gonna do a complete 360 turn here and say I've actually warmed to this song lol. I normally listen to the songs on my laptop which has really rubbish sound and no bass but I just played this on my big speakers up loud and found myself loving it a tiny bit!! It's a really sunny day here in London today and it just all combined together to make me really happy haha the beat was alot stronger on the decent speakers which really brought the song up from sounding a bit like a ringtone on my laptop (if that makes sense haha)

sorry for my remarks earlier Qele_Armenia, I was being a right grump!

Arthur Abraham will play a leading role in the clip on the Armenian song for Eurovision 2011

The known German boxer of the Armenian origin Arthur Abraham will become the hero of the clip on the song Boom-Boom ,which Emmi will present Armenia on Eurovision -2011 in Düsseldorf.

Sahistul
28th March 2011, 20:41
A weak song by Armenia, wich came at ESC with very good songs last years. Not cathcy, not a good voice, only a pretty girl on the scene. Not sufficient, probably will not go into the Great Final!

Rusch
28th March 2011, 21:58
It starts quite interesting. Then there is a dull bridge and then everything has it`s climax in a completely stupid refrain: "Boom, boom, chacka, chacka."
Unbelieveable.

It sounds like more songs together:

1.song: 0:00 - 0:25

and there we go again from 1 song to 3 song :D

She's not amazing, but she's not total crap :D She can sing pop songs, but I don't think her voice is versatile enough to sing rock or ballad songs.

As a performance it was actually one of the most entertaining ones of the evening.. but since entertaining/showy is now considered taboo when the juries are brought back.. it's better to just stand there looking boring fake playing a guitar.

As a song though it didn't deserve to qualify. Armenia had such great entries and I believe "Ayo" from their selection would have made it.. hopefully next year they come back strong again.

It's Eurovision, not some Pan-Armenian song contest. Now every presented Armenian song has to have some national melody intertwined into it, really?! That's just boring...

I think it didn't make it through, because the song was crap and Emmy simply couldn't deliver it, she is an awful singer. I'm sure she would have butchered the other more complex songs...

I'm glad she is not in the finals.

Balkan countries keep sending songs with their ethnic elements.why should we avoid it? And besides,if you read my previous post, you may notice that I mentioned TWO main reasons why our diaspora didn't vote.anyway ,though it was a tough lesson for us,hope next year Armenia will amend it.
btw, I heard Rivas wants to try again, next year

LadyKiller

^ I really don't believe that Armenia didn't pass because of poor diaspora voting. It's more logical that diaspora voted but the rest of the countries didn't because the song and the singer were bad. So diaspora votes weren't simply enough.

Better luck next year.

Why is it so hard to accept the fact that Armenia lost because of the stupid song and awful and pitchy singing?

Armenia couldn't have done much better with "Ayo" or any other song. Why? Because Emmy can't sing. That's it.

Indeed, better luck next year.

Her voice wasn't best I agree, still her performance was entertaining and one of the best. If only the song wouldn't have such a weak chorus :(

I'm sure she never thought she wouldn't qualify.

Sorry guys, an imitation of Waka-Waka and the giant box glove that no one could understand what it stood for, unless their tv commentator informed their people.
I still recall Qele Qele and consider it as the best armenian eurovision song ever, though.

For example 'Ayo". Still - regarding all the minorities in Europe for Armenia - she should advance. Even though song was bad.

Armenians doesn't have any risk to come here, because they visit our city during different international confrences, sport competitions and etc. So to take part or not will be personally desicion of Armenia. Each country is welcomed here!

They were one point behind a qualification! Well Malta and Switzerland deserved it way more, so I am glad Armenia was trashed by the juries. It wasn't a good song and she sang terribly.

Weren't the football matches between Armenia and Azerbaijan cancelled for the EURO 2008 qualifiers? And for the EURO 2012, they weren't allowed to be drawn in the same group (they were going to be drawn in the same group (faith ), but they moved Armenia to group 2).

even if the Armenian entry does get boos so what? Most important is that you are secured to enter the stage, you will be secured that you are not in harm of any physical violence and that's it. Whether you will get booed or not, it's not of any importance. You can't just expect people wearing t-shirts with Armenia printed on them lol. If Armenia wins, same sh*t will be happening, big deal.

So u think it's naturall when a singer gets booed while singing cos he's Armenian.well .so what would u do if any of Armenia's supporters wear T-shirts labelled let's say Armenia, would u tear them off?could your country guarrantee security fans of Armenian singer ,and not only Armenians will be among them.could they freely travel with Armenian flags?

PashonFrut
16th May 2011, 14:47
Can you tell me if Armenians would boo Azerbaijanis on stage if the situation was the other way around? If your answer is no, then you are biased sorry. You only have to pick a certain Azerbaijani video on youtube to see what people are saying to us to determine what kind of reaction we would have beeen getting. I thought the boo part would come naturally to you, as it is to me because honestly I wouldn't expect Armenians to applaud either. The security thing has been discussed, there are rules and no way Azerbnaijan will risk everything in sake of making trouble with few Armenian people who will come to represent their country. What I hope is that Armenia is not gonna use this Azerbaijani victory as a way of playing the victim in the public eye. My solution is to put cameras everywhere so no one can accuse the other of misbihaving.

Qele_Armenia
16th May 2011, 17:10
If u wanna get an answer, search for the video when your sportman won the gold medal in Yerevan.the whole audience arouse while your country anthem was performed and nobody booed .search for it in your forum

This song totally deserved to flop, although I was certain they will make it just because of the diaspora and block voting points, but when the song is bad, there is no help. She looked and sounded like Minnie Mouse on a helium, and while I found the stage act interesting during the rehearsals, everything looked horrid on the night itself.
