The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 is fast approaching as stand-in rehearsals officially commenced today. These rehearsals are crucial in allowing respective delegations to preview how their performances will look before they arrive for their first rehearsals next week.
Performers who are usually from stage schools and music institutions from the local area will stand-in for the singers. The footage will then be shared with the delegations to allow time for feedback and to make minor changes before the first rehearsals, ensuring that no time is wasted next week.
Importantly, the rehearsals allow the crew to become familiar with what is required for each performance, as well as practice camera angles and ensuring props are getting on and off stage within the allotted time.
