OMG!! Sean was dead on with France getting 13th. I seriously thought France got the hype going into ESC but I still can’t really figure out why it died out. The staging didn’t do much for me so not sure if that was the case with the others. And let’s say the first time watchers of the Grand Final were doing the hand gesture along with Madame Monsieur, then I’m sure they may be like questioning the reason why everyone’s doing the hand gesture.
Now people on social media on like blaming France’s flop on Italy, when that was clearly the public’s fault for not getting behind their favorite. Unless those who could vote, voted (20 times) but the amount wasn’t enough to make it 1 point. Still, it doesn’t make sense me.
Italy’s televotes clearly signified that the televoters got behind them and resonated with them and the song, which was amazing!! But I was expecting France to reach Top10, only to see it kinda flopped and I’m still pretty baffled by that. Baffled about tons of things from the jury/televotes, but France baffled me the most.
