There’s only a few weeks until it all takes place in Malmö, Sweden. As we wait for the time to approach, all the remaining small pieces are being put into place. The list of all the participants has long ago by now been revealed, the allocation draw has taken place and all songs are well released by now, so of course, the running order for the semi-finals has finally come up next.
Running order of the 2024 semi-finals
A rule that was introduced in Malmö, which happened in 2013, but will once again be in play for 2024. All songs participating in the semi-finals, were allocated into one of the two semi-final back in January, and placed into either first or second half. Now, about 2 months later, we also know the exact position they will perform at.
The reason for the running order to be done this way, is in order for producers to create the best possible flow for the show, as well in order for the competing songs to stand out even more. Some songs may have complex staging, which takes time to set, while other’s are simple. Other cases are also that there might be some slow songs and fast songs between each other, just so they more clearly stand out and the reasons continue even further than that.
With that in mind, here we have the running order for the semi-finals
