Albania saw some controversy in 2015 as their chosen entry was withdrawn and replaced. Nevertheless, Elhaida qualified in Vienna, so can Albania make it two in a row?
There was no contest – Lindita Halimi, third placed contestant of FiK 2014 – was the overwhelming victor in the readers’ poll. “S’të fal” was an eclectic surprise in a selection as historic and traditional as Festivali i Këngës and became an early favourite in the last Eurovision season (of course, there would be many more to come!), with many feeling she should’ve taken to the stage in Vienna. Perhaps Stockholm will be her chance?
In a distant second place, Alban Skënderaj, Rezarta Smaja and 2012 participant Rona Nishliu tied with respectable amounts of suggestions each. Miriam Cani was third.
