The press conference was held in the HQ of BHRT, the Bosnian national broadcaster. It was stated that the country is coming back to the Eurovision after three years, mostly because the numerous sponsers have provided the funds.
The best resulst for Bosnia & Herzegovina came in 2006 with Hari Mata Hari and song Lejla, penned by Željko Joksimović, so at first we saw that performance.
Director of BHRT said that the people from Bosnia & Herzegovina will not be paying a dime for this participation. It is all up to the sponsors, but he called the people to pay the TV tax.
Ms Lejla Babović, head of international relations in BHRT, unofficially confirmed that ALL the countries from the region will participate next year. Does that mean that Croatia is back in the game too?
And the moment came…
Just like we reported few days ago, Deen, Dalal and Ana will represent Bosnia & Herzegovina in Stockholm next year.
We all know Deen, as he represented the country twelve years ago in Istanbul, ending 9th with the song In the disco.
Dalal is very popular singer in Bosnia and she has been a friend with Deen since they were in highschool.
Ana Rucner is maybe from Croatia, but that won’t stop her to join with Deen and Dalal on stage next May.
The song is composed Almir Ajanković. It will be presented in a special show in February. He said that they will try to make an untypical performance for Eurovision.
The trio will be also joined by Zuzi Zu on stage. She was part of several popular bands in Yugoslavia, but her actual role was not revealed.
So what are your thoughts? What do you expect their song to sound like? Are you happy that Bosnia is finally back?
