Prague, 6 December 2021

Czech broadcaster ČT have revealed the 7 names that grace the line-up of their Eurovision selection show “ESCZ”. The seven entrants are as follows:

A full Spotify playlist of the songs can be found here.

Earlier this year, the Czech had announced their intent to hold another national selection, this time with live performances of the selected entrants. Since voting lines are set to open tomorrow (7 December) this will likely be when the live performances shall be revealed. If they drop sooner, we’ll add them to this post asap.

In contrast with the previous editions of ESCZ, the song will be decided by a blend of 50% jury votes,  25% czech televotes and  a 25% app vote for the “international fans” that you and I can vote in at our leisure. That way, everyone has a say in who gets to represent the Czech Republic in Turin 2022.  International votes will be cast via the Eurovision app on your smartphone.

Lines will open tomorrow 7 December with the reveal of the live performances and close on Wednesday 15 December. The entrant will be revealed a day later, on Thursday 16 December 2021, making it the second official act for Turin after Bulgaria’s Intelligent Music Project.

More information on this year’s conCzechtants can be found through this link.
