Rumours suggest Croatia will return in 2016 with The Voice selecting the artist.

Even though the Balkan nation of Croatia has seemingly ruled out a return to Eurovision next year, the Croatian website Jutarnji.hr seems to suggest that the country will indeed return after all… but only in 2016!

In an article detailing the format of HRT’s new investment, The Voice of Croatia, it is suggested that much like other broadcasters in Europe, the winner of the show would be chosen by HRT to represent Croatia at the contest from 2016 onwards.

While this is promising news, it seems to further confirm that Croatia will not be taking part in Vienna, but nonetheless the broadcaster seems positive towards the contest in future. This also suggests that the major reason for the continued withdrawal is due to financial reasons, as most of the broadcaster’s investments go towards the new show airing in January.
