BNT have been teasing Eurovision fans for a few days regarding the announcement of the act, after a few announcements of the day being changed. it was finally revealed who will represent Bulgaria in Stockholm.
It has now been officially confirmed that Poli Genova will represent Bulgaria in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest.
Poli represented Bulgaria in 2011 with the song “Na Inat” but failed to make the final. Poli has since became a big name in Bulgaria, appearing as a judge on The Voice, and hosting the 2015 Junior Eurovision back in November.
Bulgarian TV have decided to return to the Eurovision Song Contest after their success in hosting the Junior Eurovision Song Contest back in November 2015. This was the first time they have hosted any Eurovision. This hosting opportunity came after Bulgaria ended 2nd in the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, to Italy, who declined the opportunity to host the 2015 contest.
