Many Eurovision stars have just been announced as interval acts for the Semi-Finals of Eurovision 2024. Benjamin Ingrosso will perform in the First Semi-Final while Helena Paparizou, Sertab Erener and Charlotte Perrelli will perform in the Second Semi-Final.
Eurovision 2024 is approaching and as the days go by, more and more announcements are made by the organisation. Today, SVT revealed two of the interval acts we will see perform during the First and Second Semi-Finals of the 68th Eurovision Song Contest.
The Swedish broadcaster says it’s “an all-star line up of past Eurovision performers” that we will get to see perform on the Malmö Arena stage. And rightfully so as Benjamin Ingrosso will perform in the First Semi-Final on May 7 and Helena Paparizou, Sertab Erener and Charlotte Perrelli will do a sing-along in the Second Semi-Final on May 9.
A medley from Benjamin Ingrosso for the First Semi-Final
During the First Semi-Final, Benjamin Ingrosso will give us a show-stopping medley of his greatest hits, including some of his most recent ones he performed earlier this year across Europe during his Better Days Tour.
The singer is non-other than the Swedish representative of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon. He performed his song “Dance You Off” and finished 10th in the Grand Final.
Following his Eurovision journey, Benjamin Ingrosso has gone on to achieve three number 1 albums in his home country and has also won multiple Grammy Awards, including one for Artist of the Year in 2022. This year, his song Kite became his first number 1 song in the Swedish singles chart.
SVT promises “a spectacular interval act” as the singer will treat us with “an extra-special medley that is guaranteed to set Malmö Arena in musical motion!”
“It now feels great to be able to show the audience who I am today”, revealed Benjamin to the broadcaster.
A huge sing-along in the Second Semi-Final in which you can take part
During the Second Semi-Final, we won’t get one or two but THREE Eurovision alumni at once. Indeed, Helena Paparizou (Greece 2005, winner), Sertab Erener (Turkey 2003, winner) and Charlotte Perrelli (Sweden 1999, winner) will perform the world’s biggest sing-along in the arena.
Prepare your voice to sing some of the most iconic songs from the Eurovision Song Contest’s history with three of its most popular past winners.
And for the first time ever in the Eurovision Song Contest, the audience and the viewers at home will be able to join in the sing-along. The viewers at home can take part via an interactive TV wall, further information will be provided by Eurovision on its official channels in the following days.
“I am more than happy to be back on the Eurovision stage after so many years” said Helena Paparizou to SVT.
Helena Paparizou won for Greece in 2005 with My Number One, Sertab Erener won for Türkiye in 2003 with Everyway That I Can and Charlotte Perrelli won in 1999 with Take Me To Your Heaven and is celebrating the 25th anniversary of her win.
