Numerous rumors have emerged regarding Conchita Wurst’s potential desire to return and compete in the Eurovision Song Contest next year in Malmo.
According to the German Eurovision news portal ESC-Kompakt Conchita has been leaving subtle hints of a possible comeback on her social media. Additionally, Peter Schreiber, one of the individuals leading ORF’s process to seek out the next potential Austrian 2024 Eurovision act made a post on his Instagram account in order to scout for potential acts for representing Austria in Malmo. On that post, Conchita left a number of comments whcih added more fuel to the fire of speculation and sparked the rumors of a Wurst return.

The next edition will mark the ten-year anniversary of Conchita Wurst‘s triumph at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen. While this is mostly speculation, it is hard not to draw parallels to our most recent winner, Loreen, who waited eleven years between her victory in Baku in 2012 and her recent win in Liverpool.
Austria will be opting for an internal selection for Eurovision 2024. More details will be disclosed in due time and we will see if Conchita will make this fabled return.
