The first show of the Austrian preselection Wer singt für Österreich has just ended. 16 acts competed for 6 tickets to the remaining three shows. The qualifiers were determined by a 15-member professional jury. One of these 6 acts will get to represent Austria on home ground in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015.

Tonight’s 6 qualifiers will be featured in all the remaining shows until the final. In next week’s show they’ll perform 2 cover songs each. In show 3 things are getting serious – each act is presenting its 2 potential Eurovision songs – the coaches will pick which song the artists will compete with in the big final. The final will be a live show where the 6 artists will compete against each other with their chosen song. A 50/50 combination of televoting and international juries will determine the winner.
