A new month has emerged in 2023, and with that a new face as well. Armenia has decided that Brunette will be the Armenian representative, who will travel to Liverpool, in order to defend the Armenian colors.
Who is Brunette?
Despite the news, we don’t have a song to share at the moment. Instead, let’s see what this fine artist has to offer and maybe hope for something splendid when the time has come.
Brunette (birth name Elen Yeremyan) is a young Armenian artist, who mainly focuses on an R&B/Pop sound in her music, and has gained lots of attention in recent years with both cover versions and some of her own songs as well.
Starting to perform at the age of 4, and usually writes her own songs in both English and Armenian. Such songs include “Smoke Break” and “Bac Kapuyt Achqerd” which both has millions of views.
Brunette had the following to say about her announcement:
- I am happy to share the news with you. I just create music, and this time I will share it with the European audience!
Executive Director of AMPTV (The Armenian broadcaster), Hovhannes Movsisyan, wanted to point out, how important it is to entrust this responsibility to young and aspiring new artists, by adding the following:
- Last year, sending a young artist to Eurovision was justified. The song is still successful and captivates millions of fans. I hope this year we will surprise the European audience with a unique Armenian artist.
Last but not least, Davit Tserunyan, the Armenian head of delegation also had the following to share:
- A few weeks after organising the Junior Eurovision in Yerevan, we started the process of selecting our representative for the contest. At this stage, we are working on the song and the video, which I am sure will be impressive!
Armenia will participate in the first half of the second semi-final, in Liverpool.
