Armenia are currently hot favourites to win the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in May. Aram Mp3 was internally selected in December and this month his entry ‘Not Alone’ was announced. This week the postcard for Armenia has been shot, and the the theme being beautiful things of Armenia; weather, food, and hard workers.
Christian Bagger from DR was in charge of directing the postcard, which will combine three Armenian symbols and form them into one, to produce the Armenian Flag. Without seeing the final produced postcard it is hard to predict exactly how it will look, but from the information provided by Bagger and ARMTV it seems that, the Armenian Postcard at least will end in a similar style to the 1998 postcards produced by the BBC, in which the postcard concluded with a number of elements themed in the postcard to create the flag of the nation it is representing. Some scenes for Aram Mp3’s postcard have been identified in the postcard are the Stone Stairs in Yerevan, a fantastic Waterfall, and the Cascade, a popular tourist attraction.
Aram Mp3 and his song ‘Not Alone’ will open the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, being the first country to perform in the first semi final, Armenia will be hoping to be the first and last to perform in the 2014 Contest and therefore have the opportunity to host the 2015 contest, should bookmakers be believed this will likely be the case.
