Each week we here at ESCUnited launch a poll to decide who the popular act and song is for a specific national final, and tonight we had polls open for Latvia, Norway, Lithuania, and Sweden. Let’s dive into the results to see who has won the fan vote, shall we?

Melodi Grand Prix Semi Final 5

The last of the Norwegian semi-finals will take place tonight, signaling the way for a completed roster for the Grand Final on February 15th. Four acts were announced to be competing for their spot in the final: Elin and the Woods, Jenny Jenssen, Kevin Boine, and Lisa Vassilieva. With 42 votes cast in the poll, it appears that you want Elin and the Woods to qualify over the other three acts. They received 18 total votes or 43%. Lisa Vassilieva came in second with her song “I Am Gay”, taking home 10 votes or 24% of the final tally.

Supernova 2020 Grand Final

Moving to the ever popular Latvian national final, there is a lot riding on this year’s Latvian representative. The country has not qualified for the grand final since 2016 with Justs, and the Latvian is likely trying to change this. 9 songs qualified from the auditions round held in January, and among them were Supernova veterans Edgard Kreilis and Samanta Tīna. In a result that might not be shocking, Samanta Tīna ran away with 49% of the 51 votes cast and it is clear that you want her to be in Rotterdam with her song “Still Breathing.” Edgars Kreilis and Katarīna Dimanta tied for second place with 14% of votes.

Melodifestivalen Semi-Final 2

One of the fandom’s favorite national finals moves on to their second semi tonight, pitting seven great acts against one another. Two of the acts will qualify directly to the final in March, while 2 will move to Andra Chansen (Second Chance) to continue their fight for the final. It seems that of the 38 votes cast, the readers want Anna Bergendahl to win tonights semi-final and proceed to the final. If successful, this would be Anna’s third appearance in the final, both only her second time skipping the Andra Chansen round.

Pabandom iš Naujo Semi-Final 2

This year’s selection in Lithuania is gearing up to be a nail bitter with so many quality entries competing against one another. Tonight two fan favorites go head to head for one of four spots in the final show next week, and the fans will likely be holding their breath until the results are announced. One of those favorites ran away with an overwhelming majority of the votes: Moniqué and “Make Me Human”. With 48 votes cast, Moniqué stole 63% of the popular vote, with Monika coming in second with 23%. It is clear that the readers want Moniqué to win tonight’s show.
