Rehearsals are finally ongoing and preparation for the live shows are in full swing, and with that, fans from all over the world, who are part of the OGAE fanclubs have voted and crowed their winner this year. We can officially say congrats to Baby Lasagna who has “Rim Tim Tagi Dim‘d” his way with the fans, but we can also finally have a quick look at how everyone did this year.
The Full OGAE 2024 Results
The fan clubs from Austria, Finland and Romania were the last ones to reveal their votes, which cemented the final results. In the end, Austria gave their 12 points to Ukraine, while both Finland & Romania gave their top marks to Croatia in order to seal the deal for Baby Lasagna. With all that in mind, below can the full scoreboard be seen:
In the beginning, 4 countries were pulling most of the votes in, and those same 4 countries kept that going all the way until the end. ðŸ‡ðŸ‡· Croatia and 🇮🇹 Italy both managed to cross the 300+ point mark, while both 🇨🇠Switzerland and 🇧🇪 Belgium managed to cross the 200+ mark.
Unfortunately, not everyone in the overall top 10 managed to cross the 100+ point mark, with only The Netherlands missing out, but still taking the 10th place spot.
In total, 26 different countries managed to pull in points this year, meaning that 11 countries failed to get a single point. Among some of these 11 countries, we see last years runner-up Finland and even countries such as Ireland and Latvia as well, who have not been present in the final for a good amount of years by now. In the end, the question is, could these results be onto something?
Overall, a total of 5760 people took part in this voting. Each club awarded points in the classic Eurovision style, awarding 12, 10 and 8-1 points. How the voting were done in each club was however differently done across the clubs.
With those words, congrats to Croatia who will be awarded a trophy by the OGAE president in the coming days.
Keep in mind, that rehearsals are currently underway and anything can still happen, the live shows for the contest will take place with the semi-finals on the 7th and 9th of May, while the final will be on the 11th of May.
