There might still be one full month until Moldova is picking their representative, but they are doing all they can to be fully prepared and set for the contest later this year. Today, a draw was held by broadcaster TRM, which would decide the running order for the national final, and the broadcaster also shared further details, so let’s dive into it all.

Finala Națională 2024

Etapa Națională is slowly heading towards it’s last stage which is the final, or as known in Moldova, Finala Națională. Last weekend saw 30 acts doing audition performances, in which 5 jury members picked the 11 finalists.

These finalists were today given their starting position for the national final, so preparation can start as quickly as possible. Below you can see the running order:

  2. Valeria Pasha – “Anti-Princess”

Prior to the draw, which took place with the finalists or someone in their place, a special presentation did take place as well. Here it was announced that Moldova are aiming this year to be ahead of time, in order for their representative to have more time to prepare. Last year, Moldova held their national final one week before the deadline for songs to be given to the EBU. It was explained that this limited Moldova from properly preparing and so, this is why the final this year now is taking place in mid-February instead.

A presentation for this year’s stage of the national final was also held, which explains the idea of the stage, what it’s capable of and it’s sizes. These details were presented to the finalists, so they beset can prepare for their stage show and so the technician and staging people can make sure to give each act the best show. Each finalist will have to submit their ideas and proposals by February 1st.

The video of the draw and the entire explanation can be rewatched below. The entire presentation is done in Romanian without subtitles however.
