They might not be hosting it, but it’s all done in honor of the country, of course we’re talking about Ukraine who is being represented by TVORCHI this year. The defending champions are not shying away from some questions, so we went for it and decided to hear what’s up.

Unfortunately, events in today’s life has made it so Ukraine were unable to host the contest, but the duo are already inviting people to come for a visit as soon as victory is assured, hope is definitely within these guys. With that, we get a good recommendation of Ukrainian food that you might find yourself enjoying in Ukraine one day.

Of course, we’d also like to hear what the duo thinks about the songs of the past, which includes songs from the contest. Who do the boys appreciate the most and what other kind of songs are they into? All of that in our interview with them.

Ukraine made their mark on the contest in 2003 and has probably left the greatest impression of all countries in recent history. This year marks the 20 year anniversary since they first competed, but have already claimed three victories in their short time. Since Ukraine are the defending champions, that means that the country won last year, but also in 2016 and 2004. No other country has won 3 times in this century, so far.

Who is TVORCHI?

The duo consists of Andrii Hutsuliak and Jimoh Augustus Kehinde. Unlike most musicians nowadays, who meet in music school, these two guys got to know each other, in medical school, in the city of Ternopil.

Their music project took off in 2017, and very fast they became regular hit writers, having released 4 albums already, with a bunch of singles and music videos to follow up with. They didn’t wait long, until trying their luck for Eurovision, back in 2020.

However, 2020 was as known, not the year that was meant to be, so instead the boys returned for the 2023 selection, which they won, by scoring high marks from the jury, as well as topping the broad from the televote. There’s no doubt, that a lot of hearts will be beating, when they get to perform on the big stage soon.

Would #YOU follow TVORCHI’s advice about visiting Ukraine after their victory is assured and do #YOU think they can defend the winning title in Liverpool?
