Great news for the Balkan Eurovision fans! Pesma za Evroviziju, Serbia’s national competition that decides this country’s participant for the Eurovision Song Contest, has been nominated for the best regional music festival at the Music Awards Ceremony!

The prestigious event is regarded as the “biggest music spectacle in Southeast Europe”, organized by SKYMUSIC production, who are a leading rental company in Southeast Europe. MAC strives to unite all musical genres and gather the biggest music stars from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Slovenia on just one stage!

Among a variety of other awards, MAC will be dedicating a spot to the best regional music festival, where PZE will have its time to shine. Even though it is a fairly new festival (organized in 2022 for the first time under the said name), PZE has its roots in the iconic Beovizija, its predecessor. However, the improved festival does not only bear a fresh name, but its overall production quality exceeds any expectations and stands shoulder to shoulder with many other European national finals with much longer traditions.

Last year, PZE produced Serbia’s representative at Eurovision, the outstanding Ana Djuric Konstrakta with her artistic masterpiece Un Corpore Sano, that gave Serbia a very significant Eurovision momentum that we hope they can keep up with in years to come. Konstrakta is also nominated in the category for the best alternative pop number.

If you are a fan of the music from this part of the world, you can vote for the regional music award via the efinity.rs website with prior registration.

Pesma za Evroviziju will choose Serbia’s 2023 Eurovision representative in the beginning of March. First and second semi final will be held on March 1 and 2, while the grand final is on March 4, 2023.

Will #YOU be watching Pesma za Evroviziju this year? We’re a little over a month away! Let us know via our social media @ESCUnited, on our Discord, or on our forum page!
