Earlier this month, Maltese broadcaster PBS released the names of the 14 acts who will be competing to represent the country at this year’s Junior Eurovision. Today, 30 second snippets of each song were uploaded to the national final’s official YouTube channel. You can preview them all in the playlist below:
This year’s finalists were selected by a professional jury, based off of studio recordings. The final is scheduled for the night of October 2, and the winner will be determined using a combination of jury and televote scores. Teen duo Rih & Bri are the only act returning from last year’s selection.
Malta was represented at last year’s Junior Eurovision by preteen pop and hip hop duo Ike & Kaya. The pair finished in 12th place with the song “My Home”.
