Tonight Latvia’s Eurovision selection came to an end, and they decided who would be their artist for Turin this coming May. The running order for the show was announced on Tuesday February 8th, but would have to be amended when LTV announced that Miks Dukurs would join the line-up due to technical issues in the semi final.

This resulted in Miks opening the show instead of Raum. Therefore the new running order was as such:

  1. Miks Dukurs – “First Love”
  2. Raum – “Plans”
  3. Linda Rušeniece – “Pay My Own Bills”
  4. Bermudu Divstūris – “Bad”
  5. Miks Galvanovskis – “I’m Just a Sinner”
  6. Bujāns – “He, She, You and Me”
  7. Elīna Gluzunova – “Es pabiju tur”
  8. Citi Zēni – “Eat Your Salad”
  9. Inspo – “A Happy Place”
  10. Mēs Jūs Mīlam – “Rich Itch”
  11. Aminata – “I’m Letting You Go”

Despite there being only 11 acts participating in tonight’s show, there was a lot of distance placed between performances with 3  minute interview postcards being used to introduce the acts and prepare the stage. The acts would also stay on stage to talk with the hosts. The final also featured pre-recorded interval performances from Eurovision 2020 and 2021 artists Uku Suviste and The Roop.

The final results were decided by a 50/50 voting structure, assigning the jury and televote the same level of power in the selection. As we have reported earlier, the members of the jury will not be reported until after Eurovision 2022 ends.

The results were not announced during the broadcast, but the final placements of the artists were revealed live on air After a confusing process that was hard to keep track of, it was revealed that Aminata came in second place, and fan favorite Citi Zēni won Supernova with their song “Eat Your Salad”.

Draw Artist/Song Place
8 Citi Zēni – “Eat Your Salad” 1
11 Aminata 2

5 Miks Galvanovskis – “I’m Just a Sinner” 4
7 Elīna Gluzunova – “Es pabiju tur” 5
