Some more details have surfaced regarding Denmark’s selection for 2016, where the Nordic country will be attempting to find a song to return them to the Eurovision final.
The national broadcaster for Denmark, DR, has confirmed that Dansk Melodi Grand Prix’s final show will take place on 13th February 2016 in Forum Horsens, Horsens. The city last hosted the selection in 2008 when Simon Mathew was chosen to head to Belgrade for the country and kick-start a 7-year finalist streak, ended by Anti Social Media’s “The Way You Are” in 2015.
The broadcaster has also begun a call for songs, now that the 2016 season is officially underway. An application form for aspiring writers and singers can be completed on the DR website HERE with the broadcaster even asking for tips on how to stage and produce potential entries for the screen.
It is currently unknown whether the show will feature one big final as in 2015 or if the competition will re-introduce semi-final rounds. One thing is for sure, however – Denmark are vying not to make it two nonqualifications in a row!
