Yesterday we kicked off our Dream Team for Eurovision 2016 with Turkey’s Gülşen. Today we find out who people wanted to represent Armenia next year…
And it’s a tie for first place, but as Lilit Hovhannisyan was the first name chosen we’ll place the spotlight on her to give us a single artist. Other names who our readers were also desperate to see were Armenchik, Iveta Mukuchyan, Capital Cities, a return for Inga & Anush and Serj Tankian of System of a Down fame.
Hovhannisyan is always a big forum and website favourite for our readers and a participation for her for Armenia would be very popular indeed! However, thanks to the Armenian diaspora there are a number of famous singers worldwide of Armenian descent including Capital Cities, SOAD and Tamar Kaprelian of Genealogy fame, so there is a lot of interest in the Armenian participant every year. We’ll see if any of our choices make it to the contest!
