It’s been just over a week since Eurovision 2015 in Vienna, but the rumour mill has already started for Sweden 2016.
Kate Ryan, who represented Belgium in 2006 with her song Je t’adore is going for it again. Despite being such a fan favourite in Athens, she could only manage 12th place in the semi final, and crashed out before getting to the grand final. But there seems to be some light from the Kate Ryan camp….
Kate revealed on Twitter that she is thinking of trying again for eurovision glory. It is unclear whether she will be involved with Belgium national final as of yet, or whether she will try for another country. So stay tuned for more information on that…
Almost immediately after the grand final in Vienna, Flemish broadcaster VRT, announced the first part of their plans for Eurovision 2016, opting for a five artist national final, rather than the internal selection which selected and brought Loic to a very respectable 4th place. They are currently asking all interested parties to submit their interest via email: eurosong@een.be, after which they will select the lucky 5 to a national final. Hopefully we will see Kate Ryan, as we love her here at ESC United.
At least for now, that door isn’t shut after all….
