Fans of Azerbaijan’s debut entry rejoice – it seems likely that Elnur Huseynov, the angel in Azerbaijan’s 2008 entry, will be representing his country once more in Vienna, according to one of the main Eurovision fan clubs in the country.
Born in Turkmenistan, the singer previously took part in Azerbaijan’s first year in the competition with Samir Javadzadeh performing “Day After Day”. The song came 8th in the grand final and thus far is the only entry from the country to feature only domestic songwriters and composers. Huseynov has since found notoriety as the winner of The Voice Turkey.
Azerbaijan will officially announce their entrant for Vienna on 15th March.
