It wouldn’t be a Eurovision season without scandals and the first national final of 2015 has already given us one. Skopje Fest has been accused of rigging the televote in favour of Macedonia’s representative Daniel Kajmakoski using phone cards, according to Vecer.mk. The rules of the show stipulate that only one vote could be cast from each mobile number, with Kajmakoski recieving the majority of the televotes with 3,597 Macedonians voting for him.
It now appears however that this may have been as a result of fraudulent behaviour on the phone lines. Daniel’s management released the following statement;
“I was invited to participate. Neither me or my team work on such a principle.”
There have been no arrests but several people in Macedonia have been taken in for questioning. MRT is yet to release a statement on the scandal.

Oh, please let it be true. The runner up is way superior to Daniel’s song.
