The Cypriot broadcaster, CyBC, have confirmed that their national final will be held in Nicosia on February 1st. They will be looking for an artist to put Cyprus firmly back on the Eurovision map.
They announced their return to the contest earlier this year, after sitting out on Copenhagen 2014. They last took to the stage in 2013, with Despina Olympiou with “An Me Thimase” where they failed to qualify out of their respective semi final, placing 15th.
Prior to the national final in February, the broadcaster will be televising a total of 9 auditions.
Cyprus, meanwhile, have a battle on their hands in Malta next month being seemingly one of a few favourites to take the crown so far at Junior Eurovision 2014.
Are you happy that Cyprus is back for Eurovision? Can they make it a win for the first time? or maybe a double win with both upcoming a junior and main contests?
