Israel: Four artists advance to the next round

Israel’s casting selection HaKokhav HaBa already has an impressive record in selecting Eurovision artists, with Israel making the final on the three instances that the competition was used. After tonight’s showing of the singing competition, four acts have advanced to the next round with some promising performances!

The first heat of the competition saw pairs of the selected artists compete against each other for a spot in the next round following another performance for the Israeli audience and the judging panel of Asaf Amdursky, Keren Peles, Harel Ska’at, Static & Ben-El Tavori and special guest judge Ninet Tayeb.

The results were as follows;

  • Riki Ben Ari (82%) advances over Rinat Bar (77%)
  • Jonathan Mergui (88%) advances over Axum (74%)
  • Netta Barzilai (79%) advances over Tal Mizrahi (49%)
  • Ravit Batashvili (82% advances over Ofir Harush (68%)
