2017 Breaking News Latest News Moldova Ukraine Moldova and Ukraine host Eurovision parties: Reports By Sean Tarbuck Posted on May 6, 2017 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr Last night, two Eurovision parties were held across Kyiv to celebrate two of this year’s participating countries; Moldova and our host country Ukraine. The first party for Moldova was held by their delegation at the Freedom Event Hall in northwestern Kyiv, with a number of Moldovan and international performers. Sunstroke Project headlined the event, with performances also from Pasha Parfeny (2012), Aliona Moon (2013) and Olia Tira (2010 with Sunstroke Project). Other acts at the party included Dana Marchitan, Svala (Iceland 2017), Slavko Kalezić (Montenegro 2017) and Lindita Halimi (Albania 2017). We had reporters on the scene to cover the event and you can see some of our videos from the Moldovan party below; The other party, held at Euroclub, was the OGAE Ukraine party. Guests included Alyosha (2010), Melovin (Ukrainian selection 2017), Eduard Romanyuta (Moldova 2015), Andriy Kniaz and Vladislav Kurasov. The legendary Verka Serduchka (2007) headlined the event, performing various renditions of “Dancing Lasha Tumbai” as well as an English version of “Dolce & Gabbana” and various skits and short performances. Martina Bárta (Czech Republic 2017) and Slavko Kalezić (Montenegro 2017) also performed.
