Eurovision season is gearing up

We are half way through September and of course that means that every new song we hear is eligible to be chosen to represent a country in May next year in Kyiv.

After the drama with host city, we can now focus on drama about national finals. It was revealed today that Germany will select it’s representative via talent show, where one of the judges will be Lena, who shot her fame same way and eventually won the contest. The final will be held on February 9th and the submisson are already open.
Armenia is using the same recipe and the auditions have already started. The jurors, former Armenian representatives have been posting photos on social networks.
Just to remind you that Iveta, Aram MP3, sisters Inga and Anush, Hayko and Essai Altounian will serve as judges.

Unfortunately, most likely Bosnia and Herzegovina will not participate next year, mostly due to the financial issues.
Head of delegation, Ms Lejla A. Babović, said that if there is an artist willing to pay all the expenses by him/herself, Bosnia will go to Ukraine.

Among the countries that have confirmed their participation are Spain and France. L’Hexagon’s television F2 have opened the submissions and thus is opting to an internal selection.
The presentation of the chosen song will be in March 2017.
While TVE did not say anything how they will choose the next Spanish representative, there are numerous reports that Ruth Lorenzo is willing to do Eurovision again, after slaying the 10th position in Copenhagen two years ago.

And lets also not forget about the Junior Eurovision that will be held in Malta this November.

SBS and RTS, the broadcasters of Australia and Serbia have confirmed that they will be flying to Valetta. Most likely both countries will pick their representative internally.
This brings the list of contestants to 16 and we are still waiting for news from France, Germany, Israel and Sweden. Will the list reach or even top 18 countries? Have a say. Share your thoughts with us.
