Eurovision news roundup

We are all enjoying summer, but that does not mean that we should forget on Eurovision.
Though not much is happening, as most of the executives are on vacations, there are some important news.

Cyprus has officially confirmed that they will participate next year in Ukraine, and also they are coming back to the Junior Eurovision, that will be held on Malta this November. All interested kids should send their bids at jesccyrus@cybc.com.cy

We are also expecting returns from Sweden and France, confirmations from Serbia and Montenegro and a special invatition could be sent to Australia. That would bring the number of contestants to 18. Last time that happened in 2004.

Israel will again use Rising Star to select their representative, but the song will be picked later, just like in 2015. The show will start in January and consist of 10 episodes.

Laura will be cohosting the Got Talent in Belgium.
Helena Paparizou and Alyona Lanskaya are intereseted in coming back to Eurovision.
Former Russian representatives, Dima Bilan and Polina Gagarina have participated in Olympic festivities by being torchbearers on the road to Rio and also Sanja Vučić was one of the singers that participated in the supporting song to Serbian Olympic team.
First Australian representative Guy Sebastian is coming back to X Factor as a mentor.

Lots of Eurostars have new songs. Among them Amir, Emma Marone, TWiiNS, Jedward, Paula Seling, Kristina Pelakova. You can listen to the song, just by clicking on the singers name.

Last but not the least is the news about the host city in Ukraine.
We will know where we will be staying for two weeks next year no later than August 24th.
