2015 Germany Germany: Eurovision NF Song snippets online By Matt Friedrichs Posted on February 5, 2015 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr The seven known acts to take part in Germany’s pre-selection “Unser Star für Österreich” were revealed on Januarty 14th and now you can listen to the snippets. The German Nation Final takes place on March 5th where these seven acts, along with a Wildcard candidate, will do their best to win over the hearts (and votes) of the viewers. There are no juries involved in the voting process so the televoters have a 100% say. This is how it’s going to work: Every act has two songs ready to perform. After the first round, where every act gets to perform one of their songs, the viewers get to vote and four acts will move on to the next round which means they’ll get to perform their second entry. Then everyone gets to vote again for the eight remaining songs and the Top 2 will move on to the next round. In the Final round the two remaining acts will face each other off for a final vote and the winner will get to fly the flag for Germany in Vienna. You can listen to the short clips by clicking on the links below: Fahrenhaidt “Mother Earth” “Frozen Silence” (coming soon) Faun “Hörst du die Trommeln” “Abschied” Alexa Feser “Glück” “Das Gold von morgen” Mrs. Greenbird “Shine, Shine, Shine” “Take My Hand” Andreas Kümmert “Home Is In My Hands” “Heart Of Stone” Laing “Zeig Deine Muskeln” “Wechselt die Beleuchtung” Noize Generation “Song For You” “Crazy Now” You may know him from “The Voice” in Germany, Andreas Kümmert wants to represent his country in Vienna. As mentioned, we are missing one more act. On February 19th, the public gets to pick who will get the Final ticket to the NF, when the German broadcaster NDR broadcasts the Club concert. Young and undiscovered artists had the opportunity to apply via YouTube video. The act that’s going to win the club concert, will get to perform on the Big Stage a few weeks later. Barbara Schoeneberger is going to host the show. Thomas Schreiber, Director Entertainment said: “The 60th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest – the biggest live show worldwide – will be watched from Iceland to Australia. On March 5th, the German viewers will decide who is going to represent our country on the biggest music stage on earth. Our selection criteria for Hanover, and that was a big struggle in our meetings, were focused on quality of the songs and artists. We listened to a lot of songs and in the end our vote was clear and mutual. I am looking forward to a great show in Hanover, thank you to the artists for their trust and I am curious to find out who the German viewers are going to send to Eurovision” You can still buy tickets for the club concert HERE and the tickets for the German National Final on March 5th can be purchased HERE.
