Ott Lepland Announces Small North American Tour

Ott Lepland fans in four North American cities rejoice: your favorite Estonian crooner is making his way to Chicago, Toronto, Los Angeles and New York this October to perform “Kuula Live”.

“Take your friends with you and you are welcome to join wherever you can!” invites Lepland’s official facebook page, where fans were delighted with the news.

“Kuula Live” will be performed in Estonian House New York on Oct. 11, Estonian House Toronto on Oct. 12, Peavey Hollywood on Oct. 17, Estonian House Los Angeles on Oct. 19, and Estonian House Chicago on Oct. 20. Details can be found on Facebook.

The Estonian heartthrob captured the hearts of fans in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with his ballad “Kuula”, which got 6th place in the grand final, Estonia’s highest placement since 2006.

Lepland will also soon be performing at OGAE Spain’s 8th annual congress on Oct. 5, where he will be joined by other Eurovision favorites Pastora Soler, Jelena Tomasevic,  Birgitta Haukdal and Sarah Dawn Finer.

If you think you’ve seen everything Ott Lepland has to offer, you really haven’t seen anything yet.

Ott Lepland will be decked out in drag for Estonian parody TV show contest “Su nägu kõlab tuttavalt”, translated as “Your face sounds familiar”. He will be performing in both tribute and parody to Estonian vocal legend Anne Veski.

“I really respect Anne,” says Lepland to elu24.ee, where he also revealed that it was his first time doing something like this.

Lepland is in esteemed company on the show, as fellow performers include 1998 Estonian Eurovision entrant Koit Toome, 2007 ESC representative Gerli Padar, as well as respected artists Maia Vahtramäe, Nele-Liis Vaiksoo, Andero Ermel, Kaire Vilgats and Jüri Vlassov. The winnings from the competition, up to 10,000 Euros, will be donated to charity.

“Su nägu kõlab tuttavalt” will premiere on TV3 Estonia on October 6.
