Latvia: We now know our 10 finalists for next week!

2024 truly showed the journey of emotions for Latvia. It won’t be long now before we know, who will have the task of keeping this new streak ongoing, which Dons managed to start in Malmö, Sweden.

Supernova 2025 – Semi-final

Supernova has been through quite the format changes since it’s first appearance now 10 years ago, but for 2025, it remained the same as 2024. However, in case you haven’t been fully up to date with how things are done in Latvia, we got you covered!

In 2025, the Latvian national final – “Supernova” – will feature of a semi-final and a final. Originally, all 20 participants of the national final, were set to perform in the semi-final, with the 10 songs ranking the highest, re-appearing in the final. Unfortunately, Greta had decided to pull out of the competition, due to illness shortly before the contest. This means that 19 songs would compete in the national final instead.

These are the 19 acts who competed in the semi-final:(order of performance)

5. Adelina – “Electric Love”
6. Citi Zeni – “Ramtai”

9. Palú – “Delusional”
10. The Ludvig – “Ligo”
11. Luka – “Stronger”
12. Chris Noah – “Romance Isn’t Dead”
13. Toms Kalderauskis – “Domāju, Tu Nāc”
14. Julianna – “Something In The Water”
15. Tautumeitas – “Bur Man Laimi”
16. Rūta Dūduma – “Chemical”
17. Katrīna Gupalo – “Scarlett Challenger”
18. Sinerģija – “Bound By The Light”
19. Markus Riva – “Bigger Than This”

Semi-final – Results

After a long and hectic night, of course we need a result to close it off with. A jury and the Latvian televote were in charge of deciding the finalists together. With that, this was the results of the semi-final:

• The Ludvig – “Ligo”

• Sinerģija – “Bound By The Light”
• Markus Riva – “Bigger Than This”

These acts will now return next week once again, when the final of Supernova will be held. The final will take place on the 8th of February and here we will learn, who will follow in the footsteps of Dons and hopefully grant Latvia another year in the grand final in May.
