With growing and growing interest in the contest over the past few years, Lithuania is once again ready to show both Lithuanian and European viewers, that Lithuania is hungry for a victory. For more than 20 years, they remain the only winless Baltic nation, and are still to reach a top 5 spot, which is why the Lithuanian broadcaster LRT, has earlier today revealed all the participants for their national final.
Eurovizija.LT in 2025
To begin with, the submission deadline was closed at the end of November 2024, and now a little over 2 weeks later, the Lithuanian broadcaster has shared that 45 songs will compete across 5 semi-finals, which will be broadcasted weekly, in the lead up to the final, which will be held 15th of February 2025. A total of 81 applications were received in the end.
This means, that starting 11th of January 2025, a semi-final will be held each week, with 9 participants in each semi-final. The grand final, which will be held in Žalgiris Arena in Kaunas, will feature 10 finalists. Only the top 2 from a combined televote and jury score, from each semi-final, will advance to the final.
In short, it’s the same format as was used in 2024.
