Today, the first semifinal of Lithuania’s Eurovision selection, Eurovizija.LT was broadcast, previously recorded from the LRT studios in Vilnius. The program was hosted by Gabrielė Martirosian, Nombeko Augustė, and Rimvydas Černiauskas. Each of the five semifinals will feature nine acts and only the top two from each semifinal as decided by 50/50 jury and televote will advance to the live final show on 15 February.
The nine acts who took to the stage were as follows:
LIT – “You’re Not Alone”
Mantas Ben – “Svajonės po 12”
Rūta Budreckaitė – “Tai kur namai”
Anyanya – “Running Out of Time”
Aistay – “Meilę sapnavau”
Ewa – “Tell Me Lie”
Viktorija Faith – “Scary Beautiful”
Justė Baradulinaitė – “Tired”
Euften – “Goodbye Hell”
The jury for tonight’s show was comprised of Vytautas Bikus, Unė Liandzbergytė, Ieva Narkutė, Leonas Somovas (A.K.A. Leon Somov), and Ramūnas Zilnys. Previous Lithuanian national selection participant, Gabrielius Vagelis also performed as an interval act. At the end of the night, the results showed Anyanya in 1st with the jury, with Justė Baradulinaitė and Mantas Ben placing on the podium. The remaining acts finished in the following order from 4th to 9th: Ewa, LIT, Viktorija Faith, Rūta Budreckaitė, Euften, and Aistay.
Anyanya won the televote, earning top marks from the public. Justė Baradulinaitė finished in 2nd place and Rūta Budreckaitė in 3rd place. The remaining acts finished in the following order from 4th to 9th: Ewa, Mantas Ben, Euften, LIT, Viktorija Faith, and Aistay.
With the combined jury and televote scores, the results of tonight’s show were clear, with Anyanya and Justė Baradulinaitė being the two qualifiers! They will proceed to the final in five weeks. The remaining acts finished in the following order from 3rd to 9th: Mantas Ben, Ewa, Rūta Budreckaitė, LIT, Viktorija Faith, Euften, and Aistay.
Next week, nine more semifinalists will perform for the first time and compete for spots in the final. The second semifinal will air on 18 January at 20:00 CET.
