RAI, the Italian national broadcaster, has released the first images of the Festival di Sanremo 2025 stage, as well as confirming the roster of performing artists for covers night.

The stage, as seen above, was designed by Riccardo Bocchini, who also designed the Sanremo stages from 2015-2017.

In November last year, Carlo Conti, artistic director of Sanremo, announced a couple of changes to the rules for the covers night of the event. This year, alongside the option of performing with a guest artist who is otherwise not competing, artists can choose to perform their with other competing acts. votes for this night will no longer count towards the total score across the festival.

The duets will take place on night four of the festival, to be held on February 14th, and songs can be performed in a language of the artists’ choosing.

  • Achille Lauro will perform with Elodie – Medley entitled “A tribute to Rome”, containing “A mano a mano” (originally performed by Rino Gaetano) and “Folle città” (Loredana Bertè)

The 75th Festival di Sanremo will take place across five nights, from February 11th to 15th. The winner of the contest will have first refusal rights to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, to be held in Basel, Switzerland this coming May.

Last year’s Sanremo winner, Angelina Mango performing “La noia”, achieved 7th place at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden, with a score of 268 points.
