Australian broadcaster SBS announced today that Go-Jo has been internally selected to represent Australia at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, to be held in Basel, Switzerland. He will be performing the song “Milkshake Man.”
Go-Jo is the stage name of West Australian singer/songwriter Marty Zambotto. Now based out of Sydney, SBS calls him a “social media powerhouse.” Zambotto has garnered a social media following of 1.4 million followers across TikTok, YouTube and Instagram in recent years with original song releases and covers of well-known tracks.
Australia will perform in the first half of Semi-Final 2 on May 15, 2025.
This year marks Australia’s 10th entry at Eurovision, after being invited to participate as a special guest in 2015. Since then they have had reasonable success at the contest, with their highest result a 2nd place in 2016 thanks to Dami Im’s “Sound of Silence.” That success did not extend to last year’s contest, however, with Electric Fields’s “One Milkali (One Blood)” failing to qualify for the final, finishing in 11th place with 41 points.
