After a long waiting period for the announcement of Brunette’s entry into Eurovision, we finally get to hear “Future Lover”. We are now one announcement away from knowing every participating song at Eurovision.Â
Who is Brunette?
Elen Yeremyan, known professionally as Brunette, is a 21-year-old Armenian singer-songwriter. She has been singing since age four and writing music since she was fifteen. Brunette released her debut single, “Love the Way You Feel,” at the age of 18 in collaboration with Nvak Foundation in September 2019. She later became a member of Project 12, a Yerevan-based musical collective performing at nightclubs. Before joining the aforementioned music collective, she was involved with the girl group “էն աղջիկները” (ThoseGirlz). Brunette was internally selected to represent Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
Aside from her music career, Brunette is also known for advocating for young women and girls in Armenia. She hopes her songs will empower and inspire them to have a free voice. Brunette’s music has been recognized globally, and her hit song of 2022 “Bac kapuyt achqerd” has been streamed over 5 million times on YouTube.Â
