As it happens to be the case every year, RTS has ceremoniously sent off their representative to this year’s Eurovision Song Contest to Malmö, Sweden.
In addition to numerous journalists and fans, the send-off was attended by the ambassador of Sweden in Serbia, H.E. Ms Annika Ben David. She handed off the Swedish flag to Teya Dora and wished her the best of luck at Eurovision this year.
Teya Dora further explained what a day of a Serbian representative looks like, she shared her impressions from the pre-parties and the Eurovision tour. In a question of how she felt meeting face to face with the Eurovision fan community, she was happy to say that all of her experiences were positive, that she enjoyed herself and that she is looking forward to meeting more in Malmö.
Luke Black, who represented Serbia in 2023, was also in attendance and has proudly handed off the Serbian flag to Teya Dora, which is a part of the ceremony during the Serbian send off.
“It is a great honor and responsibility to represent Serbia this year at Eurovision, and we have done everything to make it perfect. I hope everyone will enjoy it,” said Teya Dora before departing for Malmö.
Serbia’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest, Teodora Pavlovska (Teya Dora), is also a pianist, composer, lyricist, and music producer. She was born in Bor in 1992. She is the first Serbian artist to have over three million listeners on the Spotify platform.
At Eurovision, she will perform the song “Ramonda” as the second act on May 7th in the first semifinal.
