After a 31 year long wait, they returned and they are here to stay. Luxembourg managed to impress on their long awaited return, and now, it’s all about keeping it like that, submission deadline is closing in, as we learn more details regarding their upcoming national final.
Luxembourg Song Contest 2025
It’s soon almost a year ago now, when we saw, what kind of spectacular show the Luxembourgish broadcaster (RTL) could present to viewers, and of course, there’s good enough to expect something just as entertaining once again.
The Luxembourgish national final, which goes under the name “Luxembourg Song Contest” has even had a small make over, and will be presented under a new style in 2025. The show will also once again be hosted in the “Rockhal” venue, which also hosted the 2024 edition, in the city of Esch-sur-Alzette.
National broadcaster RTL has confirmed, that the national final will once again take place early on in the new year, or to be more exact, on the 25th of January 2025.
As a reminder, deadline for submitting entries is now on the 6th of October 2024, so it is soon last call for anyone, who fulfill the criteria for applying. A international jury will then select the candidates, who will then compete in the national final, for the honor of representing Luxembourg in Basel. The winner will once again be decided by a jury and a televote.
As we know well by now, Tali was selected to represent Luxembourg on their long awaited return. In Malmö, she managed to finish on a overall 13th place, with her song “Fighter“. This was also the first time ever, that Luxembourg competed in the semi-finals, as well as qualifying from one of them.
